TRUCKEE HOME & BUILDING SHOW

Twenty one years of bringing together everything you need to build, remodel, redecorate and landscape your mountain home has made the Truckee Home & Building Show the preferred stop for second-home owners and local residents as they explore innovative and interesting applications to expand their home environment.

At the Home Show you will find everything from the latest in high-tech home entertainment systems to the greenest technology for low voltage snow melt systems.

Talk to specialists in painting, home design, pest control, remodeling, plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling, green building, solar, kitchens and baths.

REGIONAL GREEN BUILDING SYMPOSIUM

Over the last decade the Home Show has been introducing the newest innovations in sustainable living and green building systems and materials.

The 2013 event is no exception as CATT (the Contractors Association of Truckee Tahoe) hosts the seventh annual Regional Green Building Symposium.

The schedule has been expanded this year and is packed full of interesting workshops. Subjects cover a wide range of topics including: TDPUD Rebates and Other Incentives, Solar Hot Water, Lighting, Appliances, Rain and Snow Harvesting, Insulation and more.

See the complete schedule at http://www.truckeehomeshow.com for all the details.

SIERRA HEALTH & RECREATION EXPO

Now in its second year, the Sierra Health & Recreation Expo allows attendees to meet professionals in all areas of health and wellness.

Experience the almost unlimited opportunities to play, recreate, rest and enjoy nature in the Sierra — hiking, biking, sailing, skiing, climbing, kayaking, boating, fishing, resorts, spas, golf, ATV’s, resorts and much more.

HEALTHY LIVING FORUM

Getting back to the basics is what the Healthy Living Forum is all about. Genesa Living Foundation has organized a full interactive forum covering both days of the Memorial Day Weekend Health Expo event.

In addition to exhibits by local health care providers and vendors who are part of the Sierra Health & Recreation Expo, the Healthy Living Forum will also feature professionals who will speak on the many aspects of health from nutrition and fitness to mental health, pain relief and stress reduction.

One of the highlights this year will be California Assemblyman Brian Dahle sharing about his life’s work as a farmer. Dahle represents the state’s first district, which stretches along the northeastern edge of California, from the Oregon border to the Tahoe-Truckee region.

Dahle is also a third-generation farmer, a business owner, and a former four-term Lassen County Supervisor.
