A fun spell on Sunday nights for Tahoe wordsmiths
HOMEWOOD, Calif. – Word up.
The West Shore Cafe and Inn has started a Sunday event from 5-9 p.m. for Lake Tahoe visitors and residents this winter: West Shore Scrabble.
Designed to be fun for walking dictionaries to beginners, the new Sunday-evening Scrabble series will feature nightly prizes as well as a season-long grand prize.
The series grand prize winner will receive a 2012-13 Season Pass at Homewood Mountain Resort plus a $100 gift card to the West Shore Cafe. Weekly tournament prizes include appetizers, drinks and daily Homewood lift tickets.
Guidelines for the winter-long competition were developed to give everyone a fair chance at winning, but those playing most often increase their chances of taking the grand prize.
“We have had many people request game nights in the past and we look forward to hosting this family-focused Scrabble night,” said Rob Curtis, general manager of the West Shore Cafe and Inn.
