Bonanza community meeting moving to Fridays in 2014

Staff report

INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — Next year, the North Lake Tahoe Bonanza’s weekly community coffee meeting will change dates, meeting weekly on Friday mornings.

For the past 10-plus years, the meetings have taken place every Tuesday from 9-10 a.m. at the Bonanza’s office at 925 Tahoe Blvd., in the office park across from Rookies. The public is invited to attend and discuss various topics and issues related to the community.

Time and location will remain the same, but the meetings are transitioning to Fridays to allow the newspaper’s staff to better focus on the week’s print edition and online news coverage.

Further, due to the upcoming holidays, the weekly meeting will be canceled on Tuesday, Dec. 24; Tuesday, Dec. 31; and Friday, Jan. 3, 2013. This means the final Tuesday Bonanza meeting is Dec. 17. The first Friday Bonanza meeting will be from 9-10 a.m. on Jan. 10, 2014.

Questions about the change can be emailed to Bonanza Managing Editor Kevin MacMillan at kmacmillan@sierrasun.com.
