Bowl for Families raises more than $30K for Tahoe Family Solutions
October 29, 2014
INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — As pins were falling, high fives and cheers could be heard reverberating through the lanes at Bowl Incline on Saturday. The fourth annual "Bowl for Families" event, hosted by Tahoe Family Solutions, was filled to capacity with over 100 people bowling during the two shifts.
For the first time in the event's history, over $30,000 was collectively raised, all of which will directly benefit TFS programs in counseling, camping and education.
"The main theme of the Bowl for Families is to create a fun event that supports a great cause," said Ann Valdes, Bowl for Families Chair. "As I looked out on the lanes, everyone was celebrating strikes, enjoying pizza, and seeming to have a great time in general. That we surpassed $30,000 in funds raised makes Bowl for Families a truly outstanding event for the organization."
Tahoe Family Solutions is proud to thank its major sponsors: Bowl Incline, North Lake Tahoe Bonanza and Diamonds by Shai. Additionally, TFS thanks all team members and Azzara's Italian Restaurant, BSM Consulting, Rookies, Susan and Mark Herron, Sierra Verde, Big Water Grille, Rotary Club of Incline, Kissino Pasta Sauce, Village Market, Perfect Workout, Incline Spirits and Cigars, T's Mesquite Rotisserie, Perri and Gary Finch, The Potlatch, Austin's, and Tim Callicrate.
All bowlers who collect more than five sponsors and who turn their sponsorship money into Umpqua bank by Nov. 21 are entered to win the grand prize: a 7-stone, 1.52 carat, diamond journey necklace with a retail value of $4,000, generously donated by Diamonds by Shai.
Other prizes include a $500 gift card to the bowler with the most money raised, prizes for low and high games, and an early bird drawing prize for sponsor money turned in by Nov 7.
