Crisis Communications Training Offered to Local Business Owners and Managers

Business owners, employers and managers who need tools to respond effectively and minimize disruption during a crisis are invited to attend “Crisis Communications Training 101,” on Thursday, June 19, 8 a.m.-noon at the Cedar House Sports Hotel in Truckee.

Learn how to strategically prepare for and respond appropriately to customers, employees, the community, social media followers and the media.

Avoid pitfalls that can derail your business strategy and reputation.

Sponsored by the North Lake Tahoe and Truckee Donner Chambers of Commerce in partnership with Sierra Human Resources Association, participants will also learn the anatomy of a crisis, tips used by public relations professionals and will take away a template for a crisis communications plan.

Register by June 18 at The cost to participate is $49 for SHRA and SHRM members, $59 for Chamber members, $69 for non-members. Beverages and snacks will be provided at 7:30 a.m.
