Dive into Children’s Environmental Science Day
Children’s Environmental Science Day is a free, annual community event for children (ages 6 and up) and their families.
The event includes hands-on science activities designed to create an awareness of the unique ecology of Lake Tahoe and provide an opportunity for young and old alike to learn about environmental and Earth science.
The event is hosted by UC Davis scientists, staff and Lake Tahoe Basin agencies and organizations. Join science activities, games, crafts and demonstrations.
Learn with your child at activities such as “Biters, Stingers and Bloodsuckers;” “Feathered Friends: Tahoe Bird Identification;” Education Center exhibits and movies in the 3D theater.
The 15th annual event will be held on Saturday, Aug. 9, 1-4 p.m. at the Tahoe Center for Environmental Sciences Building, 291 Country Club Drive, Incline Village.
