Election 2016: 4 of 6 IVGID candidates expected at Friday forum

INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — Residents are welcome to attend a “Community Sponsored IVGID Trustee Candidate Forum” at 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, at the Tahoe Center for Environmental Sciences building on the Sierra Nevada Campus.

Attendees will have an opportunity to have questions answered and raise important issues at the forum, according to a news release. Kevin Lyons of FlashVote will act as moderator.

Residents Ellie and Cliff Dobler, Linda and Mark Newman, and Kristen Ferrall, “along with more than a dozen active community members and organizations,” collaborated to host the forum, according to the release.

IVGID candidates Matthew Dent (incumbent), Judith Miller, Robert Olmer and Peter Morris have confirmed participation. Candidates Phil Horan (incumbent) and Paul Longshore reportedly declined due to having prior scheduled out-of-town travel arrangements.
