Faith Factor: ‘Jesus in India’ coming to Tahoe City

Staff report

This month’s inspirational cinema feature is “Jesus in India,” showing from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 18, at the Center for Spiritual Living Tahoe-Truckee at 700 North Lake Blvd., Tahoe City, above the marina.

The film is a seeker’s quest across 4,000 miles of India in search of answers about where Jesus was during the “Hidden Years” from ages 12 to 30.

The New Testament is silent on those years; however, in India, there is an ancient tradition that young Jesus joined a caravan and took the Silk Road to the East, where Jesus lived with both Hindus and Buddhists before returning to begin his ministry.

Scholars and religious authorities are joined in this film by the Dalai Lama and an Apostolic Nuncio of Pope John Paul II.

A short discussion follows the movie. Gratitude donations accepted. For more information, call 530-581-5117.

Founded in 1986, the Center for Spiritual Living Tahoe-Truckee is a spiritual community dedicated to empowering individuals to discover an inner power that has the ability to transform their lives and make the world a better place.
