Forum Thursday in Incline on Wildland Urban Interface code

INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — The Washoe County Building & Safety Division and the North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District will hold a forum Thursday, Jan. 16, on the 2012 Wildland Urban Interface code.

According to a press release, the WUI code was adopted by Washoe County and the NLTFPD in September 2013, but the 2009 WUI has been adopted by the State Fire Marshal and has been enforced by the fire district for several years.

The forum is from 1-3 p.m. at the NLTFPD Incline Station Training Room at 875 Tanager Street in Incline Village.

Visit http://www.washoecounty.us/building/codes_index.html for a guide on the WUI Code. For information, contact 775-831-0351, extension 8107. Copies of the WUI can be obtained through the International Code Council at http://www.iccsafe.org.
