INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — Fans of the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe’s Wine on the Water Fundraiser will have a new way to welcome the summer season to Tahoe come June 28.

That’s the new date of the wine and food festival for charity, which was formerly held in mid-August.

The Lone Eagle Grille and Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe’s sixth annual festival will again benefit the Boys and Girls Club of North Lake Tahoe. Last year’s event raised more than $55,000 for the long-standing charity.

Featuring more than 25 celebrated wineries and more than a dozen local restaurants, this year’s event will include exclusive tastings of some of the region’s best food and wine, live music, and a noteworthy silent auction.

“We are incredibly proud to be entering our sixth year of partnership with the Boys and Girls Club,” Fred Findlen, Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe general manager, said in a statement.. “Last year’s event was our best so far, and we expect the new June date to draw even more guests to the cottage green and sunny shores of our private beach.”

Wine on the Water runs from 1-5 p.m. In addition to wine from vineyards like Opolo, Rombauer, Frank Family, and more than 20 others, the Lone Eagle Grille will serve its flavorful sampling of High Sierra cuisine, among other top local and regional chefs from favorite restaurants.

Wine on the Water will also feature an extensive silent auction with items including special wines, exotic resort retreats, dinners, and gift certificates.

Tickets are $100 and are available at tinyurl.com/WineOnTheWater, or you can call the Boys and Girls Club of North Lake Tahoe at 530-546-4324. Ticket sales are capped, and the event is expected to sell out.
