Incline Village community notes: Please pray for snow!
Time to get serious with our Pray For Snow parties. We need to put the white welcome mat out in our village. I think we will have to have community beach parties until it snows!
Friday, Nov. 11, is Veterans Day. Please take time to thank those that have served and are serving. Freedom is not free. Many local businesses will also be closed for the day, including the IVGID administrative offices, the Incline Village Library and Parasol Tahoe Community Foundation.
On Wednesday, Nov. 16, at the Donald W. Reynolds Community Non-Profit Center, AAUW will hold its monthly dinner meeting. The program “Learn about Aging in Place in North Lake Tahoe” will feature the panel of Sarah Deardorff, Executive Director of Sierra Senior Services, Howard Beckerman, Senior Recreation Leader at IVGID, and AAUW member, Helen Voss. From Noon – 1:15 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, in Room TCES 139/140 at Sierra Nevada College. Dr. Przemek Ociewicz from Poland presents “What is Brexit and How Does It Impact Me?” This one-day discussion on European current affairs includes the most up-to-date research and critical impacts of topics including Brexit, Iranian Nuclear Programs, Syria’s Current Politics, and the Russian Annexation of the Crimea from an international expert.
