Incline Village community notes: The turkeys are coming!

It appears Mother Nature wants to drop a little snow here and there but not at Tahoe. It is Thanksgiving next week, and we need serious storms now! And speaking of next week, don’t forget to pull that turkey out of the freezer early in the week or you will need reservations out for Thanksgiving!

Dr. Przemek Ociewicz from Poland presents “What is Brexit and How Does It Impact Me?” from Noon – 1:15 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, in Room TCES 139/140 at Sierra Nevada College. This one-day discussion on European current affairs includes the most up-to-date research and critical impacts of topics including Brexit, Iranian Nuclear Programs, Syria’s Current Politics, and the Russian Annexation of the Crimea from an international expert. Join McAvoy Layne as the Ghost of Mark Twain to celebrate Twain’s 181st birthday. The Incline Village Crystal Bay Historical Society’s presentation is at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, at the Tunnel Creek Cafe. Learn Twain’s secrets of longevity and getting into heaven.
