Incline Village fire crews to resume burns next week

Staff report

INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — The North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District will not be pile burning this week due to the holiday weekend.

The district will resume pile burning in the east side of Second Creek and the west side of Third Creek drainages and various small urban lots scattered throughout Incline Village the next two weeks as weather conditions permit, the district said in a statement this week.

Smoke from the burns will affect surrounding areas for approximately 24 hours. People who are smoke sensitive are advised to stay inside and close their windows and doors as much as possible until the smoke dissipates.

For information, or to be added to the district’s smoke sensitive notification list, call the district at 775-831-0351, ext. 0, or visit http://www.nltfpd.net.
