IVGID board to meet next week on Diamond Peak master plan

Staff report

INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — The Incline Village General Improvement District Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting next to week to potentially adopt a new master plan for Diamond Peak.

The board meets at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, at The Chateau.

According to the agenda, the only general business item relates to the plan.

Diamond Peak Ski Area General Manager Brad Wilson and IVGID Director of Asset Management will ask the board to approve a final master plan, based on recommendations earlier this year from the plan’s steering committee.

Should the board approve the plan, it will be submitted to the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency, U.S. Forest Service and Washoe County as necessary for environmental clearances and approval.

According to the agenda, if approved, and once the plan has been submitted to TRPA, the board will be asked at a future meeting to authorize a contract worth up to $400,000 to complete the National Environmental Policy Act analysis and develop the EIS document.
