Have you ever wanted more details on how the Incline Village General Improvement District (IVGID) spends its budget, how current budgets compare to years past, or just how much revenue Diamond Peak generates?

While the District posts its operating budgets and other financial documents on the YourTahoePlace.com website, IVGID has also launched a financial analysis platform powered by OpenGov.com that provides residents, elected officials and staff unprecedented access to the District’s finances.

This powerful web-based platform transforms volumes of raw financial data into an interactive, digital format, and the intuitive interface makes it easier to explore how taxpayer money is collected and spent.

Anyone interested in digging into IVGID’s budget details can access this information at: http://www.yourtahoeplace.com/ivgid/financial-transparency.

The OpenGov platform displays the budget, current and historic revenue, and expenses down to the fund, venue, revenue and expense type.

Examples of what you can find include:

• View historical revenue and expenditure trends over time.

• Explore multiple views of budget data, including: fund, venue, expense, and revenue type.

• Answer frequently asked questions, such as “What revenue sources contribute to the District” or “What type of expenses does the District pay for?”

• Track year-to-date revenue and expenses and view how venues operate to budget.

Oftentimes this type of information is most easily understood through interactive charts and graphs, and the OpenGov tool provides plenty of these.

To login to the OpenGov tool, and for a how-to document that explains how the tool works, please see: http://www.yourtahoeplace.com/ivgid/financial-transparency/opengov-data-tool.
