IVGID Tip: Use Pinterest to plan your wedding or event
June 18, 2014
Thank goodness for Pinterest — brides and event planners are now endlessly inspired by nonstop images supplied by this remarkable and exciting tool.
It is a bride's dream — she can simply search key terms and millions of pictures which link to websites or blogs right at her fingertips.
We have seen many of our clients use this tool as a virtual shoe box of snapshots. She can follow other brides' boards that have similar tastes and gather images to share with her family, friends and most importantly vendors. Our clients bring in their tablets, phones and other devices and share their vision with us through technology.
This tool is popular for weddings but is also great for planning events and celebrations of all types. One of our golf groups was able to access an archive of historical photos to help guide them as they planned for a 50th Anniversary "Supper Club" themed dinner.
We have also heard the flip side of this exciting new wedding and event planning tool; too many options make it hard to decide. From several vendors, I have heard mild frustration that over the year or so a bride spends planning her big day, all of these options lead to indecision.
With all these tools and options available, it can be easy to get overwhelmed. Remember that at the end of the day, what really matters is the reason for your celebration and the memories you make, not the color of your tablecloths or decorations.
