Developers are forging ahead on construction of the Lofts at Spring Creek with 16 more town homes coming to Truckee.

“It has gone through a few separate developers,” said Val Videgain of Coldwell Banker who is overseeing the project. “But everything is moving full speed ahead.”

The project consists of 66 units behind Alder Creek Middle School at 11269 Wolverine Circle with 36 single family homes and 30 town homes. So far 17 single family homes and 20 town homes are already completed.

Of the 16 town homes being constructed, Videgain said one has sold with three more in escrow. Construction on six more units will begin in the next couple weeks along 3 new single family homes.

The 1,450-square-foot town homes consist of three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms and a one-car garage and cost around $500,000. According to Zillow the median home price in Truckee is $619,500.

“We think that the town homes are pretty affordable,” said Videgain adding that homeowners association fees are $50 a month.

All units will be for sale and open to any buyer.

“Of course we’d like locals in there,” said Videgain.“I think the majority of the owners in there live there full time.”
