New Sierra Sun Truckee office opening delayed

Staff report

TRUCKEE, Calif. — The Sierra Sun is in the process of moving into its new Truckee office location at Ste. No. 101 in the Pioneer Commerce Center at 10775 Pioneer Trail.

While the new office was originally slated to open Wednesday, Sept. 17, moving challenges have forced management to delay an official opening to Monday, Sept. 22.

Starting Monday, residents can come by the new office, where the newspaper will offer the same services, including filing for fictitious business statements; a location to pick up recent print editions; and, by appointment, viewing Sun and Tahoe World archives.

“Sierra Sun staff is busy working on the move to ensure it happens as quickly as possible,” said Sun Managing Editor Kevin MacMillan. “Due to some technical difficulties, we’ll be unable to offer some of our on-site services in Truckee for a few more days. We ask for the community’s patience as we make the transition.”

Last week, the Sun closed its Truckee location at 12315 Deerfield Drive.

Readers can visit the Sun at its office in the Cobblestone Center in Tahoe City at 475 North Lake Blvd., and its North Lake Tahoe Bonanza office is located at 925 Tahoe Blvd., Ste. No. 206, in Incline Village.

You can call either office at 530-583-3488 or 775-831-4666.
