North Lake Tahoe fire district appoints interim chief

INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District Assistant Chief Ryan Sommers will take over as interim chief of the district effective March 19.
On Wednesday, the NLTFPD Board of Directors unanimously voted to appoint Sommers, who has served the district for 21 years in various roles.
Sommers will replace Chief Mike Brown, who recently announced his retirement, with his last day being March 18.
