North Tahoe crime logs, Jan. 1-24

TAHOE CITY, Calif. – Below are select incidents from the Placer County Sheriff’s Office press log for January 1-24.

January 1

• At 12:30am on the 500 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Carnelian Bay, a male subject was arrested when he brandished a knife and made threatening statements.



• At 1:00am on the 300 Block of Kimberly Drive in Tahoe City, a female subject was arrested for alleged domestic violence.

• At 3:00am on Donner Pass Road in Truckee, a male subject was arrested and turned over to California Highway Patrol for alleged DUI.



• At 3:00am on Highway 28 at Speedboat Avenue, a male subject was turned over to California Highway Patrol for suspicion of driving under the influence.

• At 4:00am on the 300 Block of Coon Street in Kings Beach, a citizen reported a male subject was passed out on her couch. The suspect was arrested for drunk in public.

• At 10:00am on the 3000 Block of Fabian Way in Tahoe City, a subject was arrested for possession of controlled substance.

• At 8:00pm on the 7800 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect removed victim’s phone out of her unlocked vehicle.

January 2

• Sometime overnight, somewhere in Tahoe City, an unknown subject stole victim’s skis form unlocked vehicle.

January 3

• Sometime overnight on the 5800 Block of Victoria Road in Carnelian Bay, an unknown suspect stole ski equipment from victim’s unlocked vehicle.

• Sometime in November or December on the 600 Block of Victor Drive in Olympic Valley, several items were stolen from a vacation home.

January 4

• Sometime between December 28th and December 30th on the 400 Block of Squaw Creek Road in Olympic Valley, an unknown suspect allegedly removed a $5,000 engagement ring from victim’s room.

January 5

• Victim discovered his skis were missing from the 1900 Block of Squaw Valley Road. The next day security alerted the victim’s skis were found; however more than $1,000 in damage had occurred to them overnight.

• At 11:30am on the 4000 Block on North Lake Boulevard in Carnelian Bay, an unknown suspect removed a drill from a job site.

• At 3:00pm on the 2600 Block of Alpine Meadows Road in Tahoe City, officers reported five thefts from an employee locker room.

January 7

• At 12:15am on the 8500 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect started a fight with a victim after the suspect accused the victim of stealing his iPod. The victim was transported to the hospital with a dislocated shoulder.

• Sometime overnight on the 300 Block of Bear Street in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect removed personal items out of victim’s unlocked vehicle.

January 9

• At 5:00pm on the 3000 Block of Lake Forest Road in Tahoe City, officers took a report of vandalized vehicle by unknown suspect.

January 10

• At 4:30am on the 8600 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect broke into business and removed $1,000 worth of equipment.

January 12

• At 11:45pm on the 1900 Block of Chamonix Place in Olympic Valley, an intoxicated subject was arrested for drunk in public after trying to hit people while he was sitting on the ground.

January 13

• At 1:00am on the 1900 Block of Chamonix Place in Olympic Valley, a male subject was arrested for public drunkenness after refusing to leave a business in which he has been throw out.

• At 9:00am on the 1900 Block of Chamonix Place in Olympic Valley, an unknown suspect removed unattended skis from outside a business.

January 15

• At 3:00pm on Highway 28 at Lake Forest Road in Tahoe City, a female was found stumbling in the roadway after admitting to drinking vodka all day. She was subsequently arrested for drunk in public.

January 18

• At 11:00am on the 2500 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, a male subject showed up to court intoxicated and was turned over to California Highway Patrol for suspected DUI.

January 19

• At 7:00am on the 400 Block of Squaw Creek Road in Olympic Valley, an unknown suspect vandalized the men’s bathroom.

• At 10:00pm on the 1200 Block of Gold Bend in Northstar, a citizen reported a male subject breaking into a vehicle. The subject was subsequently arrested for drunk in public and petty theft.

January 21

• At 12:45am on Bear Street at Cutthroat Avenue in Kings Beach, a female driver was stopped for speeding and blowing through a stop sign. She was turned over to California Highway Patrol for suspicion of DUI.

January 22

• Sometime overnight on the 700 Block of Granlibakken Road in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect stole a gift certificate from victim’s deck at her workplace.

• At 2:15pm on the 1900 Block of Squaw Valley Road in Olympic Valley, an unknown suspect keyed victim’s brand new vehicle.

January 23

• At 3:00am on Brook Street at Bear Avenue in Kings Beach, a male suspect was turned over to California Highway Patrol for suspected DUI.

• Sometime in the past two days on the 600 Block of North Ridge in Carnelian Bay, an unknown suspect removed thousands of dollars worth of personal items from victim’s unlocked vehicle.
