North Tahoe Family Resource Center to host ‘Voices In Color’

The North Tahoe Family Resource Center is pleased to announce a special event on Sunday, June 29, 4:30-8:30 p.m. at Spindleshanks’ new location at the Old Brockway Golf Course.

NTFRC will welcome summer at Lake Tahoe with Voices In Color, a festive art benefit complete with silent auction, bocce ball tournament, music by Trey Stone (Tower of Power) and Kendal Naughton, a living statue performance by Root Elements and heavy appetizers.

Voices In Color features over 20 local artists and community members including: Renee Koijane, Sara Smith, Eva Nichols, Soren Wolff and Mike Eadington.

The Voices In Color art benefit will raise money and awareness for the NTFRC, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that works to alleviate child poverty and promote family self-sufficiency in Tahoe Truckee through a variety of safety net and prevention programs, including: parent education, family advocacy, tax and legal assistance, and nutrition and health programs.

Most importantly, Voices In Color joyfully, exuberantly and thoughtfully reminds us of the power of art to transcend struggle and stereotypes to reveal our common ground and celebrate the Tahoe Truckee community.

A silent auction and tickets may be found at (you need not attend to bid). Cost is $45 to attend.

Be sure to join NTFRC for food, music, art and bocce ball.
