North Tahoe’s 32nd annual SnowFest! a success
KINGS BEACH, Calif. — Amid a rousing line up of SnowFest! events, the Kings Beach SnowFest! Parade on Saturday was attended by at least 1,000 spectators, featuring 34 entries. The parade award winners were:
• Best Tahoe Spirit – The Wrinkle
• Best Children’s Entry – Kings Beach Parent’s Co-Op
• Most Entertaining – California Highway Patrol
• Best New Entry – Tahoe Wave Football
• Best Overall Entry – Tahoe Expedition Academy
• Honorable Mention – Community House
• Honorable Mention – Boys & Girls of North Lake Tahoe
At the River Ranch Sunday, competitors created a fine array of entries for the annual Snow Sculpture contest, a lively affair on the sun-soaked Truckee River-side patio. A raffle to benefit Disabled Sports Far West closed the festivities, with many cool items, including two snowboards.
