Obituary: Joanie L. Hughes
Joanie L. Hughes, 59, of Truckee passed away in December 2012. Her sweet, soft voice, her kind, warm smile and her gentle nature will be missed by all who knew her. Joanie was a loyal and dedicated employee of Mountain Hardware and Sports for the past seven years where she was loved dearly by her customers and fellow employees.
Joanie grew up in Orinda, CA and is survived by her mother Joan Hughes, her brother Tom Hughes, her sister Cassie Hughes, her sister-in-law Regina Hughes, her brother-in-law Jim Bahan, her niece Audrey Bahan and her nephew Alexander Ederer.
Joanie’s love of the mountains, whales, the color blue, the Beatles and dancing will never be forgotten.
