Obituary: Mark Andrew Smoot
Mark “Andy” Smoot, 40, of Inyokern Calif., passed away following a motorcycle accident on Monday, Jan. 21, 2013. He was born in Bellflower, Calif., Feb. 7, 1972.
Mark resided in various cities along the West coast, all the way up to Eagle River, AK. Mark was a graduate of University of Reno in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He was working as a Performance Engineer at Terra-Gen Power in Ridgecrest, Calif.
Mark was a loving father and husband. He was an avid outdoorsmen. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle. Mark is survived by his children Christopher M. Smoot and Emily M. Smoot, his wife Marlena L. (Van Meter) Smoot, his mother Susan L. (Lunsford) Smoot and his sister Rachel E (Smoot) Foti, as well as other family.
