The Parasol Tahoe Community Foundation said the following organizations have been awarded Resident Grants for 2018 through the Donald W. Reynolds Community Non-Profit Center Grant Program: American Red Cross of Northern Nevada, Classical Tahoe, Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival, Rotary District 5190 Community Fund, Simmaron Research, SOS Outreach, Tahoe Fund, Tahoe Institute for Natural Science, Tahoe Prosperity Center and Tahoe SAFE Alliance.
"Parasol is very pleased to continue to support our local non-profits though this innovative grant program into 2018," said Parasol CEO Claudia Andersen in a statement,
Since 2002, the Parasol Tahoe Community Foundation has provided over $10 million in grants through the Donald W. Reynolds Community Non-Profit Center Grant Programs for resident office space, storage space, and meeting room use.
"We provide operational support by providing the resident organizations with furnished office space, the cost of utilities and much more, allowing donations to these organizations to go where it counts – to people and programs," Andersen said.
In addition to the DWR Center Resident Grant Program, the Parasol Tahoe Community Foundation provides 17 different organizations with free storage space, and an average of more than 50 non-profit organizations with free meeting room space throughout the year.
