The Parasol Tahoe Community Foundation is pleased to welcome Brett Friedman to its Board of Directors.

Friedman moved to our community only two years ago from New York City. What a change she is experiencing as she explores our hiking and running trails and paths, learns how to ski and kayak, spends time on the most gorgeous beaches in the country, and enjoys the beautiful night sky.

It is no wonder she is already interested in giving back to our community.

“As a relative newcomer to this phenomenal community, I’m eager to find a way to become a larger part of the place I call home and to give back to my community,” Friedman said. “With its various programs and activities, Parasol provides a fantastic way to do just that.”

Since 2005, Friedman has worked for Deloitte, spending seven years in retail consulting, when she focused on Omni-channel strategy, and one year with the Leadership Center for Clients, where she designs and delivers breakthrough sessions for cross-country clients.

She graduated cum laude from Washington University in St. Louis in 2005 with a degree in Anthropology and Marketing and from Columbia Business School in 2010 with an MBA.

“Brett is a young vibrant new member of our community and will bring so much to our Board as we move into the future,” said David Hardie, Chairman of the Board. “All of the members of Parasol’s Board are selected for demonstrating a high level of commitment to the Tahoe Region and a personal involvement in the community.”
