Tahoe League for Charity celebrated their annual summer picnic at the Truckee estate of Margaret Lewicki and Ernie Grossman on Aug. 24. Members and their spouses enjoyed playing the competitive game of Petanque (French bocce) followed by dinner.

On Sept. 8 TLC enjoyed its annual Pinecone Derby with competing pinecones floating ever so slowly down the Truckee River. Endurance and patience were celebrated with a group dinner at the River Ranch Restaurant and Lodge with rousing farewell to summer toasts.

TLC’s next fund raising event will be a dinner at Petra, a Mediterranean restaurant at the Northstar Resort, Thursday, Oct. 2. Members, spouses and friends will enjoy a meal at a fixed price of $40 per person that includes two glasses of wine, salad, entree and dessert. A percentage of proceeds benefits our charity funding.
