Placer Co. supes to meet at Lake Tahoe

OLYMPIC VALLEY, Calif. — Several Lake Tahoe area projects — ranging from development proposals to roadwork — will be heard by the Placer County Board of Supervisors at its North Shore meeting next week.

The supervisors’ meeting is scheduled to start at 9 a.m. Tuesday, April 19, at Resort at Squaw Creek (Alpine Room) at 400 Squaw Creek Road in Olympic Valley.

Specific topics to be heard include:

an update on the Speedboat Beach Master Plan and parking restrictions for roadways near the beach,

a status report on the Tahoe Basin Area Plan; and

updates on Tahoe area projects, such as the Village at Squaw Valley Specific Plan, Brockway Campground and the Alpine-Squaw base-to-base gondola.

The last time the board met in the Tahoe area was in late January. The governing body that meets regularly down the hill in Auburn typically convenes at Lake Tahoe on a quarterly basis.
