Vail Resorts Echo supports nonprofits

Many thanks to Vail Resorts Echo for hosting its Ski Challenge where local nonprofits raced for cash prizes while learning about Northstar’s state of art Habitat Management Plan.

The Truckee Donner Land Trust team took second place earning $3,000. All entries also received $1,000 of in-kind services from Northstar.

The Land Trust also recently received a grant from Vail Resorts Echo for $7,000, supporting the Middle Martis Creek Riparian, Road and Trail Restoration Project. This project, working in partnership with the Truckee River Watershed Council, will restore the natural hydrologic function in Elizabethtown Meadows and help build a new trail connecting Waddle Ranch Preserve to the Northstar stoplight.

The Land Trust extends its appreciation to Vail Resorts Echo for their service to our community and for providing funds that are critical to the Land Trust’s and other nonprofit work.

Sincerely,

Kellie Wright, Development Director

The Truckee Donner Land Trust
