Tahoe City SnowFest! parade to close Highway 28 for hour Saturday

TAHOE CITY – The traditional Tahoe City SnowFest! Parade will turn main street into a festive affair Saturday, March 2, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on North Lake Boulevard (Highway 28) in downtown Tahoe City from the Lighthouse Shopping Center to the Wye.

Highway 28 will be closed for the parade from just east of the Lighthouse Shopping Center to the junction with Highway 89 for approximately one hour. There will be no detour.

Furthermore, on Saturday, March 9, during the annual Kings Beach SnowFest! parade, Highway 28 will be closed from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. through downtown Kings Beach.
