Tahoe Donner to honor officers for National Police Week

For more than 50 years, after President Kennedy made the proclamation in 1962, the United States has celebrated National Peace Officers Memorial Day on May 15 and National Police Week the same week.

This year, National Police Week is May 10-16, and it’s a chance to recognize and pay tribute to the entire law enforcement community, with a special emphasis on May 15 as a day to remember all officers who have fallen in the line of duty.

This year, Tahoe Donner is honoring all officers by providing dining and golf discounts for the entire week. Additionally, on May 15 and 16, Tahoe Donner Golf Course will offer the guest rate on green fees for active and retired peace officers.

“Officers put their lives on the line every day,” said Robb Etnyre, Tahoe Donner general manager. “It is important for our community to remember that, and to honor all officers for their past and present services, especially those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.”
