TAHOE CITY, Calif. — Roan Parra has been selected as Tahoe Music Institute’s Musician of the Month for April 2014. He was nominated by guitar instructor Kerry Andras for sustaining a good attitude, dedication and commitment to guitar.

Roan is in the third grade and has been taking guitar lessons at TMI for one year now. According to Andras, “Roan is such a pleasure to work with. He is always up for learning anything and ready for the next challenge.”

Andras also describes Roan as a passionate and eager student whose skills have improved vastly while proving himself as committed to learning and becoming a better guitar player. Roan comes to his lessons regularly, is always prepared, and consistently practices his material. Andras said, “He is always willing to learn something new with a smile on his face.”

Roan has performed in Tahoe Music Institute recitals and as part of the Guitar Ensemble this past December.
