TRUCKEE, Calif. — Truckee Community Theater and Truckee Donner Recreation and Park District will host a production of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s beloved musical “The King and I” the next two weekends at the Community Arts Center in downtown Truckee.

The director, Courtney Simson, has double cast many of the lead and supporting roles to showcase talented performers from Reno, Tahoe, and Truckee.

Each performance will start with a “preshow” choral medley featuring more than 70 local kids.

There are four evening performances on June 5-6 and June 12-13 at 7 p.m., and four matinees on June 6-7 and June 13-14 at 2 p.m.
