TRUCKEE, Calif. — The Truckee-Donner Recreation & Park District and Truckee Community Theater invite local actors to audition for parts in the award-winning musical “The King and I.”

The local production includes a luminous score by Rodgers and Hammerstein and innovative choreography by Jerome Robbins.

Director Courtney Simson and Musical Director Susan Horst are looking for adults, teens and children 5-12 to play leads, small speaking parts, or chorus roles.

Tryouts are Tuesday, Feb. 3, at the Community Arts Center at 10046 Church Street in downtown Truckee, beginning at 3:45 p.m. for kids and 6 p.m. for teens and adults.

If you’re case, cost to perform is $200; financial aid is available.
