Transportation meetings scheduled for Tahoe City, Truckee
TAHOE-TRUCKEE — A pair of transit workshops are planned for the Truckee-Tahoe area this and next week.
The transportation divisions of Placer and Nevada counties are conducting several similar meetings in various towns in the region. At the meetings, residents can provide input to develop solutions for unmet public transpiration needs and opportunities for coordination among agencies.
The first local meeting is Thursday, Oct. 2, at 1 p.m. at the North Tahoe Community Center at 380 North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City.
The second is Wednesday, Oct. 8, from 2:15 to 4 p.m. at the Truckee Donner Senior Apartments Community room at 10040 Estates Drive.
“This is an amazing opportunity for our communities, as this process provides the opportunity for interested individuals and agencies to identify any public transit needs that are not currently being met,” said Jaime Wright, executive director of the Truckee North Tahoe Transportation Management Association.
