TRUCKEE, Calif. — On May 5 Truckee Elementary School staff walked into “superhero central.” PTO parents wearing Superman T-shirts were rushing about preparing coffee, fruit and pastry plates they then delivered to grateful TES staff.

More evidence of “super hero” greatness ensued!

Each door had a paper cape with each teacher’s initial, culminating with a city skyline along the main hallway dotted with super heroes.

Ah, but not just any super heroes. The quote above read “When young minds are in need of higher learning, the world’s mightiest super heroes assemble. Together they are known as The Staff of Truckee El.”

Support Local Journalism

As a member of the TES family I am filled with pride and joy when we are honored by equally dedicated individuals who want only the best for their children and their community, and they go out of their way to make it a reality.

A huge thank you and shout out to the best PTO out there!
