Liz Alstott of Truckee-Tahoe Pet Lodge recently earned a Level I certification through Outstanding Pet Care University, the leading provider of education and training for pet care professionals.

Alstott joins the ranks of most of Truckee-Tahoe Pet Lodge’s staff that have been certified through this program.

Outstanding Pet Care University’s certification program is the only certification for pet care professionals working in the pet boarding, doggie daycare, and grooming industries.

Education and certification demonstrates a strong commitment to the highest standards of care and safety for pets, as well as service standards for pet owners.

Steve Sewell, owner and director of Truckee-Tahoe Pet Lodge, attributes the continued growth and success of the business to its expert care professionals and proven processes for keeping dogs and cats safe, happy and comfortable while their owners are at work, traveling or visiting the beautiful north Lake Tahoe area.

“It’s important for pet owners to recognize the value of entrusting the care of their pets to educated, trained and certified professionals,” said Sewell. “At Truckee-Tahoe Pet Lodge, maintaining our high standards for pet care is a priority.”

Alstott’s responsibilities include supervising daycare and lodging playgroups as well as feeding and administering medications.

Alstott is new to the Truckee area, although her family has been visiting for many years. She is the proud owner of a Golden Retriever named Louie.
