TRUCKEE, Calif. – Below are select incidents from the Truckee Police Department’s press log for Jan. 7-14, along with previously unreported incidents.January 4• Two juveniles drew a picture of them shooting a person. The involved parents handled the incident. A report was taken for information only.• A reporting party found a bicycle on Donner Pass Road. The bicycle was booked into the police department.January 8• Officers took a report of a hit-and-run vehicle collision on West River Street, which resulted in property damage only.• A subject damaged another resident’s front door.• Offices were dispatched to a possible domestic violence incident on Johnson Lane. The victim stated she wanted her ex-husband removed from the house where they both reside. Upon officers’ investigation, it was determined the victim was physically abused by her ex-husband. The ex-husband was arrested and taken to jail. A report has been filed and sent to the District Attorney’s office.• A driver was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol on Donner Pass Road at Spring Street.January 9• Officers took a report of theft of more than $300 worth of groceries from a store on Donner Pass Road.January 10• A subject caused a hazardous material spill on a roadway on Salmon Street. The subject contacted a hazardous materials company for clean-up. Nevada County Environmental Health and the Town Storm Water specialist was notified.• A suspect was contacted at this residence on Donner Pass Road and was arrested for possession of a destructive device and an outstanding felony warrant.• Several 911 calls were placed in reference to a driver who was believed to be driving under the influence of alcohol. The driver subsequently crashed the vehicle on Brockway Road at Estate Drive. Officers contacted the subject and arrested him for DUI.January 11• Officers reported a two-vehicle, non-injury hit-and-run collision with property damage on State Route 267 at Interstate 80.• Officers responded to a possible domestic violence in progress on Beacon Road. Officers arrested the male for domestic battery among other charges. Charges are being forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office.• A female attempted to force entry into her ex-boyfriend’s home on Brockway Road. Upon police arrival, officers contacted the female outside the home and it was determined she was intoxicated. She was subsequently arrested.January 12• A driver was stopped for a traffic violation on Alder Creek Road. The driver was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.• A subject in custody at Nevada County Jail contacted his wife via telephone in violation of an emergency protective order.January 13• A driver was stopped for vehicle code violation on Brockway Road. Illegal narcotics were found in the vehicle and the driver was arrested.
