Recently, Soroptimist International of Truckee Donner presented a $1,000 check to conductor Brad Perry and the North Tahoe Children’s Choir.

As described by Ben Martin, Director, the North Tahoe Children’s Choir is a year-round performance-based choir for the North Tahoe/Truckee area, designed to build self-confidence and a love of singing in youth.

Thanks to Tahoe Truckee School of Music, generous grants, community support and parent volunteers, as well as a volunteer Music Director, the North Tahoe Children’s Choir remains a free educational and performance opportunity for school age children.

NTCC rehearses Tuesday nights from 6-7 p.m. at the North Tahoe Event Center in Kings Beach. All children from are welcome to join. For information, call 530-587-3274 or email info@ tahoemusic.net.

Soroptimist International of Truckee Donner President Leslie Dugger affirmed, “This performance choir training will give dozens of girls and boys confidence that will help them succeed in life.”
