The owners of The Sports Exchange in downtown Truckee will host a free customer appreciation and summer’s end celebration event on Aug. 31, 3-6 p.m.

Refreshments and entertainment will be provided, and the store will offer heavy discounts.

A Tahoe SUP paddleboard and other prizes will be raffled off to support the Truckee Donner Land Trust. All customers will receive one free raffle ticket upon arrival and may purchase additional tickets. The Sports Exchange has worked to raise awareness and funds to help Truckee Donner Land Trust purchase the iconic Donner Summit “Black Wall” climbing area. Owners of the Sports Exchange owners will present the Truckee Donner Land Trust with a donation check at the event’s conclusion.

The Sports Exchange specializes in the sales, rentals and sporting equipment service. Located at 10095 W. River St., the store is also home to Cyclepaths and Tahoe Mountain Guides.
