Soroptimist International of Truckee Donner welcomed three new members: Dana Pomeroy, Janet Mills and Denise Eyton-Lloyd.

Pomeroy, a teacher at Truckee High School, has rejoined the Club. Mills, a retired nurse, recently moved to the Truckee area and chose Soroptimist as her volunteer organization. Eyton-Lloyd chose volunteerism with Soroptimist after retiring from her cosmetology career.

The Truckee-Donner Club continues to grow. The efforts of additional women will contribute to improvement and success of all programs offering social and economic empowerment to women in the community.

President Linnis Jellinek explained the continued growth keeps the Club vibrant, strong and innovative.

“As fall approaches, our programs go back into full swing,” said Jellinek. “We are fortunate that so many more women are stepping forward to become leaders in our club and our community.”

The Soroptimist International of Truckee Donner holds monthly club meetings on second Thursdays at noon at Zano’s Restaurant, located at 11401 Donner Pass Road in Truckee. For more information, go to http://www.sitruckeedonner.org or contact Jellinek at 530-414-5126.
