Wine on the Water to benefit Boys & Girls Club of North Lake Tahoe

Special to the Sun

Join the Hyatt Regency and the Boys & Girls Club of North Lake Tahoe for the fifth annual Wine on the Water Food & Wine Festival on Sunday, Aug. 17, 1-5 p.m.

Set against a Lake Tahoe backdrop on the Cottage Green beside Hyatt’s private beach, Lone Eagle Grille and Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, the event will feature more than 25 celebrated wineries and more than a dozen local restaurants.

Guests will have a chance to sample the finest labels and vintages from acclaimed Northern California wineries. Recently recognized by Wine Spectator magazine with the 2014 Award of Excellence for its outstanding wine program for the fifth year in a row, the Lone Eagle Grille will also feature a flavorful sampling of Sierra cuisine. Other top local and regional chefs from favorite restaurants will provide signature bites.

Wine on the Water will offer extensive silent auction with items including special wines, exotic resort retreats, dinners and gift certificates. Live music will be provided as guests mix and mingle.

Advanced ticket purchase is strongly recommended as the event does sell out. All proceeds benefit the Boys & Girls Club of North Lake Tahoe.

Bid Online! GiveSmart allows you to bid on silent auction items and make generous donations to local Boys & Girls Club kids all through your computer or mobile device. Register for the silent auction at: http://bgcwine14.auction-bid.org or text bgcwine14 to 684-94 to register for the silent auction on your phone.
