Look to the sky for three days of shows
With three days of fireworks planned for Truckee and the North Shore, you should be able to catch at least one show in the area. Here are some of the events going on over the Fourth of July holiday.
Monday, July 3
Kings Beach fireworks: Kings Beach holds its fireworks display Monday, July 3, beginning at 9 p.m.
Squaw fireworks show: Squaw Valley USA’s Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks will be Monday, July 3 at 9 p.m.
Tuesday, July 4
Tahoe City fireworks: Tahoe City’s July Fourth celebration begins at dusk at Commons Beach on Tuesday, July 4.
Truckee fire pancake breakfast: The Truckee Fire District, Inc. will host its pancake breakfast on the Fourth of July, 7-11 a.m., at the main Fire Station 92 next to the high school.
Truckee Fourth of July Parade: Truckee’s Fourth of July parade begins at 10 a.m. at Sierra Mountain Middle School and progresses down Donner Pass Road into historic Truckee, ending around noon.
North Tahoe fire pancake breakfast: The North Tahoe Fire Protection District will host a pancake breakfast on Tuesday, July 4, 7 a.m., at the North Tahoe Community Conference Center. This annual fundraiser helps support the firemen’s auxiliary. Call 583-6911.
West End Beach events: There will be Fourth of July events at West End Beach in Truckee on Tuesday, July 4. All Truckee residents and property owners invited. Tickets must be purchased in advance at the Truckee Community Center, 10046 Church St., through July 3. No tickets available July 4. Events go from 1:30 p.m. until the 9:30 p.m. fireworks show. Wednesday, July 5
West Shore fireworks: There will be a fireworks show on Tahoe’s west shore on Wednesday, July 5, beginning at 9:15 p.m.
