Man injured in shooting at South Lake Tahoe casino garage

STATELINE, Nev. (AP) ” The Douglas County sheriff’s office says one man was injured when a brawl at a Lake Tahoe casino parking garage ended with a gunshot blast.

Sheriff’s Sgt. Jim Halsey said the Friday night incident happened in the parking garage at Harveys Resort Casino.

Three men were later detained in South Lake Tahoe, among them an 18-year-old resident who had been injured by shotgun pellets on his left cheek, neck and shoulder, Halsey said.

The victim, who decline medical treatment, said his group was walking from the Horizon Casino Resort toward Harveys when they were confronted by a group of Latino males, and an argument escalated.

He said he heard someone yell, “He’s got a gun” before hearing a gunshot and feeling the sting of shotgun pellets, authorities said.
