Mary Elizabeth Kuchenbecker

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of “My Love,” cherished mother, and grandmother, Mary Elizabeth Kuchenbecker Tyson, on Dec. 2, in Truckee.

She was a wonderful woman full of enthusiasm and a love of life that she shared with all around her. She loved to travel whenever possible, especially in her younger years.

She loved animals, music, reading and nature. Mary had an incredible sense of humor, wit and a great knowledge of little bits of trivia. She was very giving and caring with all those around her.

She had always wanted brothers and sisters when she was a child, her mother having died when she was 5 years old. Mary always knew she had half brothers and sisters, but was never able to meet them.

Then a few years ago she was contacted by her half sister, much to her surprise. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and half brothers Dennis and Michael.

Mary was survived by her love of 30 years, Darrell Lynn Spratford; son William H. (Butch) Tyson, III; Joshua H. and wife Traci Spratford; daughter Leslie M. Tyson; and love, Louis Zambrano B.; and grandchildren David, Alisa, and Daniel.

A memorial will be held Saturday Dec. 9, at 1 p.m. at Coachland Mobile Home Park, 10100 Pioneer Trail, MHP #35. Those who choose to send flowers may deliver to the same address at MHP #58.
