Measure A ballot confusion

Staff Report

The Nevada County Elections Office is requesting all Nevada County voters in Truckee to only use the absentee ballot application on the back page of their sample ballot booklet which will be mailed this week as opposed to the application supplied by the Measure A Campaign.

Measure A, a Tahoe-Truckee Unified School District parcel tax that goes towards various school programing, will come before voters in the district in a special election on March 6.

If Nevada County voters do not fill out absentee voters applications issued by Nevada County, they may not receive their absentee ballots in time to be counted in the election.

For more information, call the Nevada County Elections Office at (888) 395-1298.
