Meeting next week: Whatand#8217;s happening with the Tahoe City Farmers Market

TAHOE CITY, Calif. and#8212; A community meeting is scheduled for noon on Monday, March 12, at the Tahoe City Public Utilities District board room on Fairway Drive in Tahoe City to discuss the future of the Tahoe City Farmers Market, officials announced Monday.
and#8220;The Tahoe City Farmers Market is a much loved event for our communityand#8217;s health and well-being,and#8221; the PUD and Foothill Farmers Market Association said in a joint press release. and#8220;Its resounding popularity has also brought impacts that require a great deal of cooperation to resolve.and#8221;
At next weekand#8217;s meeting, the PUD and association and#8212; along with market partners North Lake Tahoe Resort Association, Placer County and Tahoe City Downtown Association and#8212; will update the community on alternatives available and plans moving forward. Community members are encouraged to attend and share input and ideas.
and#8220;The partners are working closely together to find solutions to the current parking and traffic challenges that balance impacts and finds compromise to meet the needs of the community as a whole,and#8221; according to the press release. and#8220;The group met … March 1st to identify solutions for this yearand#8217;s market, as well as the long term. All parties left that meeting very optimistic that a location for this summerand#8217;s farmers market would be agreed upon.and#8221;
