Meeting to focus on Donner Lake
The Nevada County Department of Environmental Health is hosting a public meeting on Tuesday, June 6 to discuss the status of the water system at Donner Lake.
Topics of discussion will include:
— Public concerns over drinking water quality
— The recently revised public notification
— Status of the proposed watr treatment plant
Representatives from the State Department of Health Services and the Del Oro Water Co. will be available to discuss the status of water system improvements and the proposed water treatment plant.
The Nevada County Department of Environmental Health is facilitating this meeting for the purpose of providing a public forum to receive input from the users of the Del Oro system. Citizens have expressed interest in discussing such matters as water quality concerns and problems arising from low water pressure.

May 27 update: Nevada County COVID-19 cases rise by 46
Nevada County recorded 46 new COVID-19 cases on Friday making the new total 16,570. There were 191 active cases, 16,239 people released from isolation, three people hospitalized locally and 140 total deaths.
