More warm, sunny weather this week
August 30, 2007
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE ” Looks like our dry weather is unfortunately going to continue, with the shower and thunderstorm threat being confined to areas south and east of us over eastern Mono County near Bridgeport.
We will, however, see the wind pick back up again today, just like we have seen all summer long.
Expect a few clouds but generally sunny skies and very warm temperatures with highs warming up well into the 80s with near 90s in the warm spots like Markleeville.
Winds will pick up this afternoon from the southwest in the 10 to 20 mph range so once again, good sailing weather on area lakes.
Tonight we can expect clear skies and a little cooler conditions but still rather warm with lows dropping into the mid 40s to mid 50s depending on location. Evening breezes will lighten up rather quickly after sunset.
There may be some hope on the horizon for those of you wanting cooler weather, as by the middle to end of next week there is a hint of a pattern change that may very well make it feel more like fall.
