Mousehole traffic delayed today
Expect delays today on Highway 89 south near the Mousehole.
Caltrans will be replacing guard rail and filling in pot holes just south of the Mousehole railroad undercrossing, said Shelly Chernicki, spokeswoman for Caltrans.
Contractors will be working in the northbound lane between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., so one-way traffic controls will be in effect, Chernicki said.
“Crews will be replacing the old, damaged rail and replacing it with new railing,” Chernicki said. “And since it’s going to be one-way through there, they are also doing pot-holing.”
Flaggers will be controlling traffic during construction, she said.
“Delays should be minimal, but we suggest using alternate routes if possible,” Chernicki said.
